On his 2021 record, ‘Forfolks’, Tortoise guitarist Jeff Parker proves why he is considered one of contemporary music’s most versatile and innovative composers - be it in pop, rock, jazz, or new music, which are all genres he's explored across several projects. Over 35 years of playing the guitar, Parker has expanded his sonic palette to employ techniques that range from sample-based technologies to analog and digital synthesis, to conventional and extended techniques. Pitchfork said it is joyous listening to Parker 'play along with the sound of himself'.
