Ikram Bouloum
Born to Moroccan parents in Barcelona, Ikram Bouloum began to sprout out of the local music scene much thanks to her ‘sound literacy’ sessions. In them, the artist seeks to create a club utopia - a polyphonic space where all voices are heard equally. An active part of Barcelona collectives like Zen 55 or Contagiós, Bouloum has been known to masterfully center her multilingual identity in her work - such as in the 2021 EP ‘Ha-bb5’, where she sings in English, Catalan and Amazigh, her mother tongue.
