Huerco S.
Outsider music pioneer Brian Leeds (also known as Pendant, Huerco S., Loidis, and Royal Crown of Sweden) got his start playing for punk and metal bands while growing up in Kansas. In the quest for the tangible, he picked up dance music. More than a decade later, he continues to reshuffle the deck. His work as Huerco S. is focused on a sonic palette of recontextualization, low fidelity, and a sense of humor long missing from the genre. His ethos, less bound by genre and more by feeling, is also mirrored in his own esoteric label, West Mineral Ltd.
