Don The Tiger

Berlin-based, Spanish-born musician Adrián de Alfonso has collaborated with names like Lydia Lunch, El Guincho and Le Guess Who? curator Lucrecia Dalt. However, it is on his own that he transforms into Don The Tiger, on stage accompanied by a dance performance by Siri Salminen. Taking inspiration from ‘everything he misses’ – rumba, flamenco, or baroque fantasy –, he mixes it with the sounds of musique concrète to elaborate sampling techniques, creating a cinematic musical landscape that is entirely his, as heard on the 2018 album ‘Matanzas’.
