Discovery Zone

Discovery Zone is the perfect alias for experimental musician and multimedia artist JJ Weihl: in her songs, she investigates life’s boundaries (the line between earnest and ironic, human and post-human) with complete inquisitiveness. Her adventures yield a widescreen pop sound flecked with bright vocals and baroque inclinations. On the stage, Discovery Zone is a myriad of instruments and 3D visuals to explore ‘the universe as a source of information’. Just as in this spring’s ‘Quantum Web’, the taste on our lips is bubblegum, but wrapped in post-internet uncanny valley deliciousness.
