After earning her stripes on the Tunis scene, Deena Abdelwahed came to Paris, set on new musical inquiries. Since her arrival, the DJ and producer has been showered with praise from outlets such as Pitchfork and The Guardian, who commended the fine-drawn ways in which her work paints the diversity of Arabic music. Abdelwahed draws as much from clubbing as she does from the avant-garde scene, as heard on her 2018 LP debut ‘Khonnar’. At Le Guess Who?, she will perform her bold new record, ‘Jbal Rrsas’, as it is set to be released in the fall via InFiné.
