Curated by Grouper
Over the span of two albums, the dynamic of pedal steel player Heather Leigh and brass/woodwind maestro Peter Brötzmann has become truly transcending: a continually evolving high-energy exchange with both players pushing the potential of their instruments all the way into-the-red. Leigh and Brötzmann take on bruising krautrock, devouring and spitting it into the realms of freejazz and fragmented psychedelic noise, to form a ritual music that’s completely their own.
