Animistic Beliefs (live)
Animism is the idea often found in indigenous belief systems that everything possesses a spiritual essence. A pre-colonial tradition connected with Marvin’s Moluccan and Linh’s Vietnamese-Chinese ancestry, and moved both to invent a new musical language as queer POC living in the Netherlands. Banded together as underage attendees of Rotterdam's clubs, they began creating a new form of electronic music, anchored in South-East Asian rhythms and sounds.
