Gözen Atila (or Anadol) has authenticity as a guiding principle; ‘this is what I want to achieve'. Their ambition does not betray them, since every inch of their latest release, 2022’s ‘Felicita’ (released through Pingipung) is coated with a genuine sense of exploration, introspection, and celebration. Following 2019’s ‘Uzun Havalar’, the Turkish artist continues to push toward something new by stacking up new genres - for instance, hiring a roster of jazz musicians to be recorded on top of her synth productions and field recordings.
