As Nine Inch Nails' keyboard, guitar, and bass player, Alessandro Cortini has carved out for himself a reputation as one of the foremost figures of contemporary electronic music. However, one would be remiss to not account for his many important contributions to the genre made outside of his band. His boundless body of work includes collaborations with other experimental icons, such as Lawrence English and Daniel Avery, as well as with other bands (Modwheelmood, Ladytron), and, importantly, a vast array of solo releases. Be it as SONOIO, Blindoldfreak, or under his own name, Cortini always creates in an ideally restrained, textured, and mesmeric fashion, as is the case on his latest full-length, 2021's 'SCURO CHIARO'.
