Abdullah Miniawy
Abdullah Miniawy, who previously graced the LGW stage with Le Cri du Caire, is an Egyptian expressionist, writer, singer, composer, who has performed worldwide at renowned venues and festivals, including the Festival d’Avignon and the Louvre Museum. His influence extends far beyond the arts though, being selected by the European Parliament to offer a French-Egyptian artist’s perspective on pressing contemporary challenges at the European Youth Event. As a writer, his lyrics have left a mark in the Middle East region, notably during the Arab Spring, where they were displayed in places like the Yarmouk camp in Syria. We’re thrilled to welcome Miniawy back to the festival, for which he is creating a special performance around his latest solo release Nigma Enigma.
