Otim Alpha
Farmer, boxer, community leader, musician - it’s easier to name what Otim Alpha hasn’t done. However, when it comes to his role as a pioneer of Acholitronix, wedding ceremony leader in Gulu is his cornerstone role. There, he would forever shape wedding music in the region, alongside producer Leo Palayeng. A name ‘every European festival should book’, according to Unsound director Mat Schulz, Alpha has risen to international prominence thanks to collaborations with the likes of Damon Albarn, and his trademark frenetic sound, which has lit up dancefloors all over.
