Cinema Perdu

Cinema Perdu is the moniker of Utrecht-based Martijn Pieck, who has also been involved in woodbender and the [law rah] collective. Fascinated by urban found sounds, he works with manipulated samples and contact-microphone recordings, striving to musically (re)create the feeling of a place at a certain time. Live performances are always overwhelmingly surprising, for Pieck mostly improvises with sounds and structures from past and upcoming releases.
