Boot with Punk
Friso is an organizer, promoter, musician, DJ, and the curator of Boot122 for U? 2025. For decades, he has been putting on concerts, primarily within the punk and hardcore scenes, but also in the dub reggae soundsystem world. His work is rooted in a deep, enduring passion that continues to shape his approach. The program features four diverse acts, all united by a strong DIY mentality.
The curation presents Two Star Review, a band from Utrecht that plays melodic punk, featuring veterans from the punk rockers of Undeclinable Ambuscade, powerviolence grinders from Slapende Honden and a Turbojugend punk rocker; Hee Hee Shamone, a group of rockers, also from Utrecht, who move between metal, punk and Michael Jackson; and the punks from Radio Cyanide from Groningen, who have released a punk album that is sometimes reminiscent of Descendents and Victims Family mixed with a touch of English punk.
