Cézanne is a multi-disciplinary and genre-blending artist whose music paints musical landscapes. She creates a fusion of alternative R&B, electronic neo-soul, and folk. She crafts songs that delve into self-reflection and societal norms, offering listeners a transformative experience. Her music is a Cinematic Soul: a lush, emotionally evocative genre that blends soul with the immersive atmosphere of film scores.
In March 2025, Cézanne released Sugar High, the first single from her debut album, accompanied by her self-directed music video. The full album is set to release in October 2025, marking a significant milestone in her musical career.
The record begins in darkness — the night, the winter, the weight of inner turmoil — and gradually unfolds into light, warmth, and renewal. At its core lies a compassionate dialogue with the self: learning to face the shadows of negative self-talk, and transforming them into a place of peace.
The album was born out of a deeply personal process. Writing these songs became a form of alchemy: taking these uncomfortable emotions and turning them into something bearable and even beautiful, to release what was stored so long. Listeners move through cathartic surges that feel like a tsunami, only to arrive at a state of quiet clarity afterward. The sunflower became a guiding metaphor in this process: just as it instinctively turns to face the light, Sunflower Child reflects my search for the inner light, which I now know, is always there, as long as you let all of you be there too”.

The making of the album began with individual songs and productions, written without a clear destination, before it became apparent that they belonged together. Through the process of writing the bigger picture revealed itself — the songs forming not just a collection, but a coherent album with a distinct storyline. In collaboration with producer Boudewijn the album found its final form.
