Sofie Birch & Antonina Nowacka present Languoria

When Danish sound artist Sofie Birch and Polish experimental singer Antonina Nowacka first got together for an impromptu collaboration at Ephemera Festival in 2021, sparks flew. Those in attendance called the duo’s performance the clear highlight of the festival. After a second collaboration at Unsound Festival, the duo put their performance out as last year’s ‘Languoria’. In it, Nowacka’s spiritual vocalizations can be once again heard anchored by Birch’s gentle sound practice. The record evokes a sacred quality, best experienced live.
