Purling Hiss

Purling Hiss makes head-banging rock at its best; the kind to strain your neck to, head-bobbing in a smokey room in one of the world’s coolest cities. On ‘Drag on Girard’, the Philadelphia band, with Mike Polizze at the helm, unleash some more jam gems into the stratosphere; even with it being their first outing in seven years (following up 2016’s ‘High Bias’), the energy is still there, cracking, snapping, and, well - hissing. Ten years on, Polizze’s guitar distortion - which, as usual, is pressed with the Drag City stamp - is as crunchy as ever.
