A legend’s birthday is not celebrated every day (especially in their presence); but, at this year’s Le Guess Who?, attendees will be treated to not one, but two once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to cherish the legacy of one of Brazil’s most important musicians - alongside him. The DONATO 90 show honors the life and career of jazz and bossa nova pianist and icon João Donato, and his incalculable contributions to the canon under his name or alongside other Brazilian and international icons, such as Gal Costa, Roy Ayers, and Stan Getz. On Saturday, Donato will be playing solo, and, on Sunday, with his band.
