afromerm with Jaz Lee

afromerm is the solo project of composer, sound artist, and poet Cecilia Morgan. Drawing from contemporary, jazz, and cinematic soundscapes, the project meshes electronic elements with live instrumentation, plus vocal and poetic disciplines to further plunge us into her world. Amidst all these factors, Juniper, her self-built motion reactive instrument takes center stage. For her Le Guess Who? performance, Morgan is inviting another presence; the one of longtime collaborator (and friend) Jaz Lee. Lee’s prodigious saxophone has been heard alongside Tom Misch, Sampa the Great and Celeste - and, now, afromerm.
